HAVE you ever imagined yourself being chauffeur driven in an “ultra-exotic” vehicle to a dinner date held at an extravagant out-door event, being picked up from the airport or bus station in style? Of course!

We all wish for that one glistering moment that could have heads turning in amazement and maybe even leave some mouths salivating in glee.

Of course, this all sounds like a spendthrift dream that may never come true but alas it just may, as a local company will soon be wheeling out a range of luxury vehicles, which it seeks to attract and boost domestic and international tourism.

Motor Hub, which recently established and is nestled in the city also seeks to partner with the hospitality and tourism sector in its drive to enhance holidaying.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, which has halted a number of activities and even saw a number of businesses and ventures shutting down the company has high hopes of rebuilding the tourism sector, while also bolstering its presence in the city.

“It is an unfortunate fact that the simplicity of packing a tiny bag and travelling far and wide helped spread Covid-19 around the world. The effects on leisure travel and destinations that rely on tourism will be felt for years to come. But just as the way we travel may improve as a result, so the chance for countries to rethink tourism industries could turn a bruised and battered industry into a better one,” said Motor Hub manager Nyaradzo Munhamo, saying hiring a luxury vehicle could be cheaper than what one could expect.

Munhamo said once all was in motion, the company would roll out packages that can suit every citizen.

“Times are tough but we are a human oriented company. We seek to attract citizens of all classes in our attempt to turn the country’s economic margins around. You are aware that we are nearing 2030 and that is a year the President had targeted to turn the Zimbabwean economy into a middle class. There are vast ideas and opportunities we as a country can venture into and achieve so why not grab the bull by the horn and use its raw energy to develop something that will also benefit from,” she said.

Munhamo added that the pursuit of pleasure using cultural pursuits as cover goes back to the days of the majestic tourists, who trawled the globe’s artistic heritage, as well as indulging in more hedonistic activities.

“We can provide a service that you can enjoy while at it. Who wouldn’t want to pose in front of a luxury car? Even in Europe celebrities and normal citizens hire cars for events and some like musicians for their videos. It is a business concept we should embrace,” said Munhamo.

She said among the current company fleet they boasted of a brand- are a new Range Rover Vogue, Discovery, various Mercedes Benz series, Jaguar and Mitsubishi among their top of the range vehicles.

“Among some of the vehicles that we have we want to introduce a Rolls Royce Cullinan, which has been spotted in the city already. And of course, we do provide low-cost vehicles such as the famous Honda Fit,” said Munhamo.
