BULAWAYO Social Soccer League fixtures secretary Adolph Jonga is pleased with the way league matches have been flowing so far.
A total of 60 teams from the three pools in the league are back in action across town for week five matches today.
“As the fixtures secretary I am very pleased with the way games are moving. We started early because we knew a number of tournaments will be held and we are going for national elections this year. Teams now know what is required of them and last week all games were played, which is a sign that things are now moving the right way,” he said.
Meanwhile, last weekend 94 Strivers managed to wipe away the painful defeat they suffered at the hands of Ndola twice last year. This time around they got it right by thrashing the visitors 4-2 in a tightly contested match played at TM Cowdray Park. The much talked about Cowdray Park derby between Fireworks against Masters however, failed to live to its billing as it ended in a goalless draw.
