A Zimbabwean musician, Prince Dcapla, is ready to scale dizzy heights after perfecting his craft in South Africa.

Harare-born Dcapla started off as a dancer for Zimpraise International Choir in 2017, before relocating to South Africa.

“I have always been surrounded by melodies and harmonies. Music runs deep in my veins, and I can’t imagine my life without it. It was at Gillingham Primary School where my passion for music began to blossom and during my secondary education at Churchill Boys High that is where I truly discovered my calling.”

He started to improve his skills in music when he was with Zimpraise. Explaining his experience in Dubai, Dcapla said his stay in Dubai opened new avenues for him.

“My stay in Dubai was a significant turning point in my life as I embraced both the cultural diversity and the enriching music scene in this vibrant city. Immersed in Dubai’s dynamic atmosphere, I discovered an astonishing improvement in my musical abilities.

My instrumental skills soared, and my vocals reached new heights. Intrigued by my progress, I decided to try my hand at recording my own music in 2020. Since then, every hurdle became a stepping stone, propelling me towards newer heights,” he said.

He has recorded a dozen of songs including a feature with one of Zimdancehall genre legends Shinsoman “Baba Devante.” His manager, Brian Chidzomba said the country will be electrified with a soon-to-be-released song called Laka Laka.

“Dcapla is a special artiste of his generation as he is an all-rounder, a man of many talents.  He is determined to touch the hearts of all Zimbabweans through his music.

Endowed with a unique blend of soulful vocal delivery and the ability to captivate audiences with his skills on various musical instruments, the next King strives to create a piece of awe-inspiring music that resonates with people from all walks of life,” he said.-SundayLife Reporter
