A 35-year-old woman from Sizinda in Bulawayo who allegedly gave a 15-year-old boy three bottles of alcohol to drink and made him watch pornographic material in his drunken state before sexually assaulting him is now in trouble with the law.

Lucia Ngoma (35) appeared at West Commonage Court before magistrate Ms Sikhethile Moyo facing charges of indecent assault. She was remanded in custody to next week after it emerged that it was not the first time she had done that.

The State’s case as presented by prosecutor, Ms Patience Ngwenya was that on 22 December last year at about 4pm in Sizinda, the complainant who is aged 15 decided to take a bath at Ngoma’s place of residence.

In the process of bathing, the court heard that Ngoma went to the bathroom door and peeped through the keyhole and watched the complainant taking a bath. It is alleged that the complainant noticed that Ngoma was peeping on him while he was taking the bath but decided to ignore her.

The State further told the court that when Ngoma noticed that she had been seen she went away from the bathroom. The court was told that after taking a bath, the boy went and applied lotion on his body and it was at that time that Ngoma approached him carrying three bottles of alcohol which she convinced the complainant to drink.

The complainant, the State said, downed all three bottles at the instigation of Ngoma leading to him being drunk since it was his first time to drink alcohol. When Ngoma saw that the complainant was drunk, she then started showing him pictures of naked people and proceeded on to show him pornographic videos allegedly to arouse his sexual desire. She went further to touch him. When she was done indecently assaulting the boy she left and the complainant wore his clothes and went outside.

It was the State’s case that the boy later told his relative when he arrived what Ngoma had done and a report was made at Tshabalala Police Station leading to her arrest where it was further established that it was not the first time that Ngoma had performed such acts of indecent assault.
