ZIMDANCEHALL music fans in Bulawayo will have to wait a little longer for the explosive dancehall shindig that was billed for 4 June.

Organisers of the show stated that the weather was not conducive to host the show, thus it would have to be postponed to a later date, during the summer.

The show would have featured high profile names in the musical genre such as Killer T, Soul Jah Love, Seh Kalaz, Freeman, Kenan, Judgement Yard, Bulawayo’s Mzoe 7 and Guluva 7.

The bash was scheduled to be held at the Amphitheatre in Bulawayo.

A promoter of the show had initially said they were keen on promoting local music and talent in Bulawayo, as the city appeared to have a lack of appreciation of local music.

“We had planned on hosting a bash this winter but then we figured that the weather was not conducive not only for us promoters but fans and artistes as well. The show just might not be well attended, as we anticipate. We have thus decided to move the show to a warmer season and will advise of the dates in due course,” said Byron Rice.
