Sunday Sermon with Apostle Chisale
Greetings beloved nation in the name of Jesus Christ. The kingdom of God is a kingdom of secrets and mysteries.
The bible tells us in Matthew 13:11 that ‘to you it has been given to understand the secrets and the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given’. So meaning as believers we need to understand these mysteries so that we can navigate our way through this world. Jesus while on earth lived a mysterious life and as believers we can activate certain mysteries over our lives, our families, our ministries so that we can live victorious lives.
One such mystery is the mystery of operating in the courtroom of heaven. As believers we need to have understanding of how to operate in the courtroom of heaven. There are times when we have to petition the court of heaven to get answers to our prayers. Jesus, when teaching about prayer, placed prayer in a courtroom, in the book of Luke 18:1-8 “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man. Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’ “Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? I tell you that He will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?” He speaks about a widow who was seeking justice from a courtroom.
When the widow wanted justice she went to the courtroom, she did not spend her time shouting and cursing her adversary. We see in the scripture that she did not even address her adversary, she only spoke to the judge. The widow was able to get a verdict from the unjust judge through her persistence in court, so how much more us as believers when we go before the Righteous Judge and present our petitions. When Jesus was speaking this parable, he was unlocking a mystery that prayer is an activity in a courtroom. For us as believers in order for us to get results from the courtroom of heaven, we have to know how to operate within the courtroom. Just as here on earth there are ways in which the legal courts function, how to present cases and address the court, it is also the same for the courtroom on heaven. The bible tells us in Daniel 7:10, “A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.”
We read here that once the court of heaven are seated the books are opened. Last week I spoke about the books of heaven and Psalms 139:16 tells us that each person has a book in heaven. One such book is the book of destiny where God wrote the destiny and kingdom purpose for each of our lives before we ever existed.
This book contains all that God planned for us. The bible tells us that even Jesus had a book in Hebrews 10:7, “Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come — In the volume of the book it is written of me — To do Your will, O God.’” So we see that Jesus had to come on earth and be born in the flesh in order to manifest that which was written in his book. The devil in an attempt to prevent this from happening had to kill many babies through the decree issued by Herod. Why? Because he was trying to stop what was written about Jesus in books of heaven from manifesting on earth. So the battle is to get what is in the book to manifest on earth, which is why the devil will always fight our destiny.
This is the reason why we have to contend for what is written in our books of destiny in the court of heaven. One of weapons that devil uses is to accuse us before the throne of God in an attempt to stop us from fulfilling our destiny. We read in Job 1:1-6 how the devil went before God to accuse Job, which is why he is called an accuser of brethren. The devil always seeks to gather evidence about us so that he can accuse us and be granted legal rights to destroy us. The devil will use sin in our lives and in our bloodline to accuse us. The devil will search our bloodline to find things to use against us in the court of heaven and this gives him legal right to destroy us.
That is why at times we pray and fast yet our situations don’t change and we become frustrated, this is because someone in our bloodline would have opened a legal door for the devil to operate within that bloodline. The only way to remove that legal right of the enemy is repentance.
When we present our cases before God in courtroom, who is the Righteous judge, the accuser will be there ready to accuse us. We have to repent of anything that the devil is using against us in courts. The blood of Jesus speaks for us in the courtroom of heaven, it justifies us. We also have to repent of anything that is in our bloodline.
Confessing our sins and those of our bloodline removes the legal rights that the devil has against us and silences the accuser. It is my prayer that we get an understanding of how to operate in the courtroom of heaven so that we can get results to our prayers and so that whatever God has written in our books of destiny may be fulfilled.
I would like to invite you to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and saviour, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that he is your Lord and saviour, and you shall be saved. May God bless you all and this beautiful nation of Zimbabwe. Amen.
