Multi-award-winning Gospel sensation Everton Mlalazi’s success in 2024 is proof that when God locates you, He sanctifies you abundantly and pours blessing in your cup until it overflows.
As the festive comes to an end — a sign of closing the year and preparing for the next one — when he looks back, Mlalazi who hails from Tsholotsho, is at a loss of words of praising and worshipping God whom he says His works on him are abundant.
As we close the 2024 chapter, the Apo Mambo hitmaker said his heart is overflowing with gratitude for an extraordinary year filled with milestones, blessings, and unwavering support from his fans.
He also praised everyone for their love, encouragement, and prayers which have been the foundation of all he accomplished during the year.
Mlalazi has many achievements to be grateful for.
When the year started, he introduced his Psalmist journey as he released Ndinomira paJordani — a song, which became a hit among many, topping gospel charts on almost every local radio station.
His works would also be seen on the 10th anniversary of The Vine, leading the ensemble in celebration of a decade of good music and fulfilling their praise and worship calling to God’s saints.
As if that was not enough, Mlalazi also joined Spirit Of Praise (SOP) — a South African ensemble led by the legendary Bishop Benjamin Dube.
Such moves allowed and paved a way for Mlalazi to win the African people’s hearts to the extent of being recognised by various continental awards including the CLIMA Awards and the South Africa Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) Crown Gospel Awards.
“This year began with a momentous debut — the live recording of Celestial Chorus Soiree, featuring the powerful anthem “Ndinomira paJordani.” It was humbling to see this performance resonate with so many, garnering over 2 million views on YouTube and touching lives around the world. We also celebrated the 10-year anniversary of The Vine, an incredible milestone that brought together voices of excellence and faith. I was deeply honoured to have Vashawn Mitchell, Jekalyn Carr, and Annatoria join us for the live recording. Their anointed voices and powerful ministry made this celebration truly unforgettable and a testament to God’s faithfulness over the past decade.
“This year has also been marked by the recognition of our hard work, with honors at the CLIMA Awards and the Crown Gospel Music Awards. I am especially proud of my manager who is also my wife Gamuchirai Mlalazi, whose dedication and excellence were rightfully acknowledged at the CLIMA Awards.
“Her vision and hard work continue to be a guiding light for my brand and I am grateful for each and every effort she makes.
“Another humbling highlight for me this year was being inducted into Spirit of Praise which is Africa’s biggest gospel ensemble. Sharing this platform with some of the most anointed voices in gospel music has been a profound privilege and a dream come true,” said Mlalazi.
With all the accomplishments he made in 2024, Mlalazi vows to continue with his works of ministering the word of God as he has plans to even do more in 2025.
Mlalazi is preparing for a tour with Spirit of Praise as they aim to reach every corner in Africa and beyond.
As the front man of The Vine, Mlalazi said they will be dropping an album. He will also coordinate for the release of Celestial Chorus Vol. 2 project, as well as In His Presence Vol. 3 album.
He further said more tours with The Vine are on the horizon, and they can’t wait to share the journey with all of their fans.
“As we step into a new year, I look forward to continuing to create music that uplifts and inspires, and to giving all glory to God for His unending grace. I am looking forward to an even brighter and more blessed year,” said Mlalazi.
